I, the inhabitant of Shahbag Thana, draw your kind attention to the fact that the law and order situation of the Shahbag area has deteriorated much. The area is in the grip of the toll collectors. They always demand a huge amount of toll from all classes of people. No construction task is possible without giving them a large amount of toll. They possess unlicensed arms. If anybody disagrees to fulfill their demand he is tortured inhumanly and is made bound to pay the money. If the proper measure is not taken to stop this toll collection right at this moment, it would become quite impossible for the people to live here.
I, therefore, request you to kindly look into the matter and take a proper step against the toll collectors to ensure the safety of the people.
