Electricity can be defined as a form of energy resulting from the existence of electrons or charged particles. It is generated in different types of power plants by using wind or solar energy, burning fossil fuels, collecting water, or by nuclear reactions. After generation, it is converted to a higher voltage and traveled to substations by power lines. In substations, electricity is converted to lower voltage and distributed to the subscribers.
Everything becomes electronic at this time to make our life more comfortable. If we see in our daily life it will be clear to us. Lights, fans, air-conditioners, television, telephone, mobile, computer, refrigerator, stove, etc. in our houses are powered by electricity. Industrial growth is impossible without electricity. Big or small all industries heavily depend on electricity to produce their products. In the medical field, electricity brings a revolution. Fatal diseases now can be cured by using electrical medical devices such as X-ray machines, electrocardiograph machines, dialyzer, radiography, MRI machine, etc.
Electricity can transform people's lives, not just economically but also socially.

Electricity is required in technical and engineering activities like welding, construction, designing manufacturing, or developing things. The communication sector almost fully depends on it. Electronic mail, telephone, television, mobile, computer are some examples of ways of communication depend on electricity. We can't access the internet which is the most useful medium of communication without the help of electricity. In the transportation sector, we have an electric tram, electric trains, and hybrid vehicles which are run on electricity. Our education sector is also developed by it. Air-conditioned and multimedia facilitated classroom helps the learners to learn more easily. Our streets are lighted by electricity. It is also needed in our social or religious life.

However, producing electricity from natural resources like fossil fuels or coal will bring a situation when no natural resources will leave to produce energy. So instead of producing from these, we should use renewable sources such as water and solar energy to produce electricity.
